Cal K started the business to provide mechanical engraving, phenolic engraved plastic plates, ground tags and brass meter tags to metro Denver electrical companies. His business grew due to quick delivery of high-quality, dependable products. Soon Cal was processing requests from fields as diverse as wastewater, HVAC, mechanical services and other commercial businesses needing engraved items.

Upon Cal’s passing in 2004, his wife, Karon, took over until her retirement in 2017. Their son, Troy, and his wife, Pam, have been operating CK Engraving ever since. The couple has expanded CK Engraving’s capabilities with a fiber/CO2 laser and sublimation printing. Rotary engraved plastic panel plates, ground tags, brass, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, graphics, wood and leather make up the bulk of their business. CK Engraving also supplies gifts, promotional items, frames, cups, sublimation hats, shirts and mugs.
